Welcome to the Catherine Hinds
American Skin Care & Spa
We are located at 342 Riverside Drive, right on Clayton's downtown waterfront, overlooking the magnificent St. Lawrence River. The healing powers of this huge natural wonder have made this area a destination and healing retreat for more than a century. The massive expanse of fresh water affords the region elevated levels of ozone and air quality that serves as a balm to soothe stressful lives, and provide relief from allergies, asthma, and other diseases. |

Our mission is to create a wellness center, sanctuary, and a quiet zone amidst this amazing fresh water estuary. We offer hydrotherapy treatments, bodywork and massage to detoxify and restore calm to hectic lives. We work with the body's relaxation response to enhance the well-being of our clients. We also offer a full line of our very own skin care products, developed over the course of nearly half a century by Catherine Hinds, a name that has become synonomous with skin care. Catherine Hinds established the first accredited Spa Therapy program in North America. The Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics became the first school in the country to offer a 1200 hour accredited licensing program in Medical Esthetics.
Our spa is Clayton's latest attraction, a full-service esthetics salon and day spa where you can experience a wide array of services promoting health and wellness of the body's largest organ, the skin. Pamper yourself with the full treatment, or just stop by to explore our retail shoppe and try our Catherine Hinds skin care products. |

The spa is open year-round, and is operated under the watchful eye of Catherine Hinds herself. All staff members are licensed professionals, and several are graduates of the Catherine Hinds Institute in Boston, MA.
Our gallery-like decor displays work from various local artists, adding a bit of local flavor to your visit. Accommodations are available at our own Bed & Breakfast At The Spa, or at several nearby resorts, hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts and campgrounds.
For details on local accommodations consult the 1000islands.com website.
